I went to Save-on Foods tonight to grab some hamburger buns and as I parked my van, I saw a lady struggling to push her full buggy. It was really full and she was physically challenged for sure. I quickly parked and went over to her and asked if she needed a hand.
She looked at me as if to say, wow, you are going to help me. I said yes, absolutely.
I usually ask for help myself if I have a load like the one she had. But I could tell she was going to try and lift these heavy items herself if I didn't step in. I put most of her groceries in her trunk including the big jug of milk. But, the n I saw a 32 pack of waters. And, I'm like, even I won't lift that!
I asked her to please agree to wait and I would go get help. She agreed to sit and wait while I retrieved help. I was amazed at how many employees were running around Save-On Foods and yet not one of them had offered to help this woman who was clearly struggling just to walk and push the cart. I located an employee and he went to help her.
I am so happy and grateful that I was able to help this lady. The look on her face and the feeling in my heart cannot be seen or touched but they can be felt by her and by me and now hopefully by you.
